Luxury-Focused Entertainment, Our Time At ILHA in Miami

This past week World Cinema sponsored and attended the International Luxury Hotel Association INSPIRE 2019 at the Four Seasons in Miami, Florida. Prior to attending this event, WCI was prepared as a brand to showcase our technology to the 300-400 luxury hoteliers going to be in attendance. World Cinema has been underestimated in the luxury market of hospitality for some time now, but as our VP of Business Development, David Goldstone stated on stage, we are prepared for anything and ready to help our customers at any time, such as Encore Boston Harbor. David said, “WCI jumped into action when Encore Boston Harbor needed a new partner to come in and install brand new technology for the hotel’s grand opening with only 8 weeks to go. Upon completion and a successful opening of Encore Boston Harbor, June 2019, WCI continues to stay very close in contact to ensure a sustainable partnership. We are beyond excited to be partnered with a property named the most anticipated hotel opening in the world in 2019.”

ILHA had some amazing speakers from Google, Kimpton Hotels, OHM Collection and EDITION Hotels. Technology played a big factor in the event. Google mentioned that 50% of consumers think poorly about a company if their website takes more than 3 seconds to load. But on the other hand, Hilton is being innovative with the ease of the Hilton App. Guests can logon to the app, seeing all their upcoming stays, choose the exact room location they want and completely bypass the front desk. Hilton, along with Wyndham, Host and many other brands, are also working on being more energy efficient by 20%.

One great session from EDITION Hotels was about the guest journey having emotion. When a guest has a close emotional interaction with a company, they are 2x more likely to recommend you to others! Ask yourselves “How do we anticipate the unanticipated?” The three R’s. Recoup, Recover, Reset.

Emotional Guest Journey

Welcome (low point), Want for Nothing (high point), Sense of Curation (neutral), Sendoff (lowest point), Anticipation (high point)

This journey forms a natural, nuanced emotional arc with freedom within a framework, but a workshop at local touches.

Engineering a Feeling

Separate running the hotel from impacting guests’ feelings

Something Ella Ahmed, Director of Marketing at World Cinema, is encouraging her team to remember is to make our clients your storytellers. The best part of the event, was the networking. There were multiple days and hours that were specific to just networking, where WCI showcased their LG OLED display featuring WorldVue®, the fully customizable platform engineering and developed by World Cinema. WorldVue® has many features like streaming apps, casting, IoT, Sleepwell and much more to offer to any property.

WCI is excited to parter with ILHA again in 2020, bringing them a fresh new look and view on technology.

If there was one key takeaway it would be this reminder. “There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.”- Sam Walton
